10 years

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of me giving my life to Jesus Christ!!!! I have been serving God for 10 years now; seems like it was just yesterday. It has been one crazy ride!! If you asked me 10 years ago what the next 10 years of my life would look like, I would have never guessed almost anything I have done. Continue reading

Florida fun

This past week I have been visiting my dad in Florida. It has been nice to get away and be able to relax and hang out with family. There are a lot of differences in Florida and North Carolina. For starters, I have been able to wear shorts all week long. The weather has been beautiful in Florida and I am loving every minute of it. I already checked the weather for when I get back to North Carolina and it looks like it will be the coldest week of the year. Continue reading

Appreciating muscles

I have found myself back in the middle of football season again. Full of highs and lows (I am a NC State fan and Miami Dolphins fan). But the past couple weeks I have been able to go out and play flag football with some friends. There is not much I enjoy more in life than a good game of football. But with a great game of football comes the soreness afterwards. Our motto when we play is: “If you don’t go home dirty and sore, you didn’t play”. Continue reading

I love Fall

Okay, summer is about to end and fall is right around the corner. I love fall – last year was my first fall in a long time. I was so excited I wanted to rake leaves up and jump in them (that was something I had never done before)! Let’s just say when word got out that I wanted to do so…I was invited to people’s houses to rake their leaves – haha. Continue reading

Being a blessing

God is really showing me lately how it is a blessing to be a blessing. Recently I received an email from one of my high school friends that I have not talked to in a few years. He was telling me about how he saw me on TVoneLife and how God had really been dealing with him lately about serving God with all his heart, and how encouraging it was to see that I was doing that. Trinity is on Season 2

Season 2 has started airing on the networks!!! It is so exciting. In season 2 you will be introduced to my dog Trinity (she is in the ‘Slave for a Day’ OLU Challenge and one of the ‘Adventures of Andy and Randy’). She is a Jack Russell Terrier, 3 years old, 13 pounds, and one of the coolest dogs you could have. I got her as a college graduation present from my dad. If you know anything about Jack Russells you know they are extremely hyper and friendly (and if you donĂt know anything about them, now you do). Any guest at my house is quickly (very literally, quickly) met with a face bath from T-rex (our nickname for her). She may be small, but she is very quick and strong. The other night my roommate Eric was playing tug of war with her while sitting in our rocking chair. Trinity grabbed the toy and ran behind the chair, and the next thing Eric knew he was falling backwards as Trinity pulled the chair to the ground. It was just like something you would see on America’s Funniest Home Videos. If only I had a video camera rolling maybe I could have been the next $10,000 winner!! So be on the look out for Season 2, and see how many times you can spot Trinity (I gave away 2, but there may be others I forgot about)!!

Wheel barrow race

Hurrrray, Season 2 is airing!!!! The wheel barrow race was pretty hard because Justin (my partner) and I didn’t know our way around NCSU. So Nick and Josh had an advantage cause they both went to that school. But lo and behold Justin and I caught up, and ended up winning in the end. Hope you liked the chocolate on my face (not a big fan of it)…kinda looked like I had a Unibrow there haha.

One Life Event in Georgia

This week we have a One Life event in Augusta, Georgia. I absolutely love One Life events. All I have been able to think about for the past week is what the event will be like, and how much fun it will be. A couple months ago we did a One Life event at NC State and during our first song of praise and worship the power went out on us. Instead of freaking out we decided to keep the drums going and just shout out the chorus. It was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. Everyone there just kept praising even though we had no power. So when the power came back on, and the music kicked back in, the energy level jumped ten levels. The crowd was going crazy, the band was going crazy (including Josh doing a really sweet knee slide across the stage), and it was one of the funnest praise and worship sets I have been a part of. There is nothing like seeing a bunch of people going crazy praising God!! So I am getting really pumped up about our One Life event in Georgia. I hope to experience the same kind of worship there (hopefully without the power going out this time though). It is also so awesome to see people answer the altar call and give their life to Jesus. One Life events can be a lot of work with all the set up and preparation we have to do, but at the end of the event to see people give their lives to Jesus makes every minute of it worth it. To me there is no greater feeling then knowing God used you to change someones life forever. So to everyone not in Augusta, Georgia, shoot us an email so we can come to your town!!!

Season 2 coming soon!

The premiere of TVOneLife Season 2 was last night. It was so good!!! I am very excited that soon we will be done editing the whole season and it will be on a TV set in your home!! I was laughing so hard at points that I was crying. I think the best part about this season is we pushed ourselves in everything. We set out to make something better than season 1 (not that we don’t like season 1, it will always be our baby season) but we didn’t want to just do season 1 again. And I think we succeeded. It is really cool to see something that you worked so hard on for a year come together and be so much better than you could have expected. Here are a few things you can expect to see in season 2 (or some of my favorite moments): Becky failing to pull pranks and them turning on her, an amazing jingle for surge protectors, jet ski soccer, high speed go kart racing, insane (yet safe) stunts, an attempt to break the world record for the longest milk squirt out of your eye, the adventures of Andy and Randy, and a human chicken. So be on the look out because season 2 is heading your way very soon!!!

Okay, so my roommate Megan introduced me to the world of Smallville a couple weeks ago. Hmmmmm….as Nick likes to call it “A Superman soap opera” – hahaha. Ahhhh and it’s so addicting – like LOST! As a girl I guess it’s normal for me to drool over Smallville’s Clark Kent. As I sit here now writing this I am watching it (already on season 2) and every time Clark and Lona get together I’m just like “kisssssss her already!!!!”. A customer came into work last week and told me about the show and how he is on season 8 and Clark still isn’t flying…but he didn’t say anything else cause I didn’t want him to spoil the show. So, if you’ve been watching the show – I hope it’s all you and I hoped it to be.
