Oh snap I’m back! That’s right there is no stopping me from infiltrating the blog with my random thoughts. I hope you guys are enjoying season 4! My favorite episode so far is the Israel one (mainly because that was the most incredible trip I’ve ever been on and it brings back so many amazing and powerful memories). You might have noticed something a little different about season 4: I am not in the OLU segment. I cried a little bit when I found out too. But don’t worry, you will see me in other segments throughout the season.
Sometimes change is a scary thing. We can be unsure of ourselves or our direction and afraid to take any steps. It’s in times like these that I am glad we serve a rock solid God. If our faith is in Him then we have nothing to be afraid of. Psalm 18:30 says, “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” That is why we do not need to be scared of change. If God is moving us, we can be assured that His way is perfect.
When Sean and I sat down to talk about stepping out of OLU, it was an interesting conversation. That was all I had known since the creation of TV One Life. At the same time, we both knew that the change would be good. Kenny is a pretty awesome guy, and I am an old married man now. It would also give me more of a chance to help out in some of the other areas of the show. It wasn’t an easy change, but it was a God one, and His way is perfect.
Don’t be afraid of change. If God points you in a direction run for it with all you’ve got. You will be surprised at the results. I promise you that years ago when I started working with TV One Life I never would have guessed my last OLU episode would be shot in Israel. It was an amazing way for God to end that chapter of my life and I’m so excited to see what comes in the next one!
You will still hear from Nick from time to time on the TV One Life blog, but you can also keep up with him at iamnickspindler.com.
